Book Description

1 April 2007
Coffee-cup divining is fast becoming as popular as reading tea leaves, and it's easy to see why. At Sahar Huneidi's over-subscribed coffee-reading workshops, people gather in her favourite coffee house to chat, sip coffee and then peer into their cups! The coffee grounds cling to the inside of the cup to form amazing patterns and shapes that can be read to predict many aspects of your future - and it's uncannily accurate. The best coffee to use is Turkish or Greek because it sticks to the cup so well (and it's delicious), but you can also read the grounds from a cappuccino or espresso. Follow Sahar's instructions to make a perfect cup of coffee in the cup and saucer provided. Drink it slowly, savouring its rich flavours, and relax. Leaving the thick residue in the bottom, place the saucer over the cup, shake the cup gently and turn them both over together. Remove the saucer over a tissue to catch any drips, then turn the cup upright. Now you can gaze into your future! Sahar takes you through the principles of reading around the cup and identifying and interpreting the patterns. It's useful to jot down your thoughts as you go. With a little practice you will soon sharpen your intuitive skills, and be confident enough to delight your friends with your incredible psychic powers. Your coffee mornings will never be the same again!

5.0 out of 5 stars I am hooked! 25 May 2007
By Emine
Format:Paperback
Ever since I had my first coffee cup reading with Sahar I have been hooked. She has an amazing accuracy, and her readings are very encouraging and inspirational. I just could not get my head around how she could squeeze so much detail from such a tiny cup (with such illegible, messy patterns), so I was interested to learn how to do it. At the time, the book wasn't out yet and I got my instructions off the internet, but as with all intuitive things, I just could not for the life of me "tune in" and see anything remotely symbolic. This book gave me fool-proof guidance, and it is in my opinion the most efficient way for a complete beginner to get started. It provides you with a basis, so that you can start reading immidiately, and it provides you with the directions on how to advance your ability. What may seem psychic or impossible in the beginning will be in your reach. It is great fun to take notes of what you see, be surpised at what the cup "says", and then check if your predictions take place.

The book offers:

- some background and history

- basic information on how to make the coffe etc

- many, many pictures of cups, with enlargements of the symbols with their specific meaning

- full readings of pictured cups, that show how the symbols relate to each other to create a complete reading

By the way... It's great fun for parties and gatherings, you will be quite popular!

A ground-breaking work. Stands out far away from books exploring the similar subject. Well presented, with clear and concise case studies and glossary of symbols. Can be used by lay persons and professionalls as well. Highly, highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars A book that will inspire you! 24 Jun 2007
By teuta
Format:Paperback
Sahar Huneidi's The Art of Divining with Coffee Grounds is one of its kind and unique. Not only it is wonderfully researched but also stylishly and amazingly depicted with symbols and readings beautifully photographed and presented. The popular beverage that we wake up to every morning, in Sahar's capable hands takes a whole new dimension... There is so much to learn about this ancient art, and I am so greatful that somebody has finally thought of writing a book about it. The book comes in a stylish box with a custom made coffee cup. I am enjoying the whole experience very much, as a journey towards my own self but also as a possibility of reaching out to others, sharing, socializing and having fun... Can't wait for my next dinner party! I am hooked!
