Bought this for my elderly dad and he has found it quite useful - of course no book is likely to cover everything in exactly the right way but this seems to have been useful. Key thibng with these books seems to me to be up to date as digital tech canges so quickly. So far OK with this book. Paperback a sensible size to handle though covers could be more susbstantial.

I ordered this book because I know nothing about digital cameras. I hoped to learn what some important words and phrases meant and really learn the very basics of how they work and what type would be best for my needs. I found the beginning chapters excellent. Since I have no intention (now) to download pictures on a computer I have not read the entire book since most of it deals with this. But if you want to know all this info, it's a great, simple-to-understand book.
