Mr. Leonard makes a compelling case that a book is an essential marketing tool for all professionals with their own clients. He laid out a clear, step by step plan for getting it done and publishing it including the methods, costs, effort, and reasons for self publishing. Never having published anything, I had no understanding of the mysteries of the publishing world. Mr. Leonard explains it in a concise way that allowed me to get my arms around it. Unlike many wordy books that authors think have to have heft to be valuable, "Your Book" gets right to the point and delivers the goods without padding. I was able to read it during a 90 minute flight and came away believing I can do it. A lot of us have a great deal of knowledge in our professions and may not realize the value other people see in it and how much credibility it can deliver. If you wonder about that, get this book. And if you read it and believe it, get to work on your book!

A book really is the "ultimate" expression of credibility and authority. It's difficult to know where to start your personal branding and I was struggling with the best approach. In a straightforward, concise manner, he carries this attitude and enthusiasm into self publishing business books .. how to and why.
