I am writing to congratulate everyone at CRS records on your absolutely fantastic DVDs (Row Row row your boat & The Wheels on the Bus). Everything about it is just perfect - the choice of songs and their matching locations, the enthusiasm and good nature of the children, the choreography, the filming and editing, the wonderfully funny Tony as host, actor and song leader. The whole thing is just incredibly professionally done for what must be a small company. The DVD has a recommended age of 3+, but we bought it for our 16 month old baby girl who loves it. She points at the DVD sleeve and goes 'ah, ah, ah' to let us know she wants to watch it. She knows a lot of the songs from playgroups and daddy and mummy know the others. We all sing together. We've already bought two sets, and will be buying more for other children's birthdays. We have recently purchased Row row row your boat and The Wheels on the Bus DVDs for my daughter Rose. I am writing to ask you if you will be making anymore music DVDs? Rose can't get enough of them, she loves them. My husband and I can't find the song without Perkins yet and I am especially fond of Granddad's car in Mummy's taking us in the car, car! --Mr & Mrs Fisher from Keighley
I recently purchased two DVDs of nursery rhymes. The titles are The Wheels of the Bus and Row, Row, Row your Boat and each DVD has 20 songs sung by a group of children. The producers have tried hard to support the words with clear actions, drama and props. As we all know children learn a great deal from these songs and EAL pupils seem to pick up the words quite quickly. However I am not sure if their understanding is always supported, especially in songs like Miss Polly had a dolly. I would therefore recommend these products for use in nursery schools, possibly as an extra activity to prepare EAL pupils for singing sessions. --Janet Storey http://edubuzz.org/eal

My 2 year old son recently obtained a baby brother so needed a new primary caregiver. Enter this DVD and it's sister 'Wheels on the Bus'.
Personally I found it almost painfully cringeworthy the first 50 or so times I watched it. Luckily the intended audience found it spellbinding, but not so spellbinding he sits open mouthed while his brain slowly deteriorates and his bottom spreads to match that of mine in width. Oh no, he sings, dances and shows off his many, many gifts all whilst not destroying my house or asking me to play with him.
In short, this DVD is great and highly recommended, be warned you shall be singing annoying nursery rhymes for days after watching it but nobody will notice, they'll be too busy commenting on the weetabix splattered artfully down your trouser leg.

Bought this dvd for my 4 year old daughter and was so impressed with it i have ordered the Wheels on the Bus too.
We both dance and sing along to it and its great to learn different rhymes too. The presenter is great at getting into character for the different songs and my daughter giggles like mad when he dresses as a lady! The children in the dvd are lovely too - they just seem really happy and genuine unlike the typical overacting types on many other music dvd's.
Overall Its just very appealing to children from around 18mth +. One of the better nursery rhymes DVD's i've seen.

My Grand-daughter Heather received this as a gift. She is a 3 year old and loves it. As a parent or grandparent, we watch alot of this sort of dvd's with the children directly or indirectly. Sometimes over and over. It is so well done that one doesn't mind. A good reminder of many songs from our childhood that we have forgotten and could have been lost for future generations.

childrens dvd
My 17 month old grandaughter loves the dvd. She watches it while having her lunch. Has started singing along with it now. Well worth the money

BORING and too SLOW
