Product Description

Mary’s obsession with the boy band Caelan began in high school. She and her friends went to their concerts, picked their favorite band member, and plastered their walls with posters. Mary’s obsession continued during her college years, but soon was placed in a box of memories as she matured, fell in love, and built a life with her husband.

But Happily Ever After is elusive. When she suffers a horrific loss, can she depend on her old dreams to salvage her mind? Can she wander through those memories and still keep reality within her grasp?

Siren's Song Reviews 14 Aug 2011
By Rachel Firasek - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
This book was powerful. It shows you the mind of an obsessed person, how his/her obsession never really goes away and manifests itself in all areas of life. Mary's mind is so messed up, and though people try to help her she never gets the help she needs. Even with her background in psychology, she only recognizes her obsession as a `little problem' instead of the big deal it is. I was fascinated, in a morbid way, as I watched the obsession rule her life at various stages in several different ways. I was captivated as I waited to see the other ways in which this obsession could manifest itself in Mary's life.
The story was fast-paced, but I wouldn't call it rushed. The book definitely rolled merrily along, moving quickly through Mary's life. In each stage I felt very connected to Mary, and didn't find that the short length of the book detracted from its overall appeal. I got the depth I was looking for from this book - I was even surprised at how Fox was able to involve me in the story so thoroughly. The ending, too, after all of Mary's tragedies, was heart-breaking. Overall, this story was a magnificent, if slightly chilling, read.
