5.0 out of 5 stars EXCELLENT 4 Aug 2008
Format:Audio CD
This has just been re-issued.As per my previous review this album is the best thing tigertailz ever did as they had Steevi Jaimz who was/is still one of the best singer/songwriter/frontman the uk has ever spawned.from star attraction to hollywood killer this album is up there with the first two motley crue albums...forget the albums after with kim hooker as his voice and style just grate.this is the real deal.

5.0 out of 5 stars BEST BRITISH ROCK ALBUM OF THE LATE EIGHTIES! 18 Jan 2008
Format:Audio CD
It was 1987 and me and mates were off to see tokyo blade at the old marquee in wardour street soho london and getting there with time to spare we walked in to see (support)the most o.t.t band we'd ever seen -Tigertailz.Totally amazing sounding, great stage presence, catchy songs and probably the best frontman this country has produced.all those who were there and subsequent gigs-especially queuing up for two nights at the headline gigs at the same venue, will probably agree that this band at this time were untouchable and the album young and crazy captured this perfectly.
With their uber-glam cool look and sneer you could be forgiven for thinking this was sleazy recycled hanoi rocks or a.o.r... no way!..this is crunching in your face metal with a great pop edge.better than any yank band doing the rounds at the time.
Every song on this album is great from the opening crunch of "star attraction" and "hollywood killer" with its catchy cautionary tales of living life in the fast lane to the future chart pop single "livin without you"(forget the release they re-did with another singer-its like a wet weekend) this album is complete..if you liked the first two motley crue albums you'll love this.
The x-factor of this album though is steevi jaimz, who really was(and still is) underated as a fine singer/songwriter and exceptional frontman.
Susequent releases with a new singer were boring, samey and uninspired compared to this blast of energy.
why no-one has put this out properly on cd beggers belief as it really is that good...........

.....we went to the pub next door halfway through tokyo blades set as it seemed boring after the first lot on stage......

5.0 out of 5 stars Britain's answer to Poison and glam era Crue 11 Sep 2008
By Buck Dingo - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
Back in high school at the age of 15, my girlfriend picked this album up and shared it with me, and I was blown away. I was into sleazy rock like Crue/LA Guns/Faster Pussycat/Cats N Boots. This album fits right into my choice picks from that era. Their cover was obviously playing off Poison's Look What The Cat Dragged In. Their name is also a bit cheesy. But I'm recommending that you take a second look at this album in particular. Steevi Jaimz was singing for the band at the time and it was his voice that really helped them stand out. He has a Michael Monroe sound that is timeless. Every song could have been a hair metal hit. They are all catchy, fun, sleazy, and of course there is a solid ballad on there too. The band re-recorded Livin' Without You with their new vocalist shortly after Steevi left. In my opinion, the band lost the one element that really made them shine when they fell out with Steevi. Young and Crazy is one of the best hair metal albums of the 80's and should not be overlooked. Check out: Livin' Without You, Shameless, and Young and Crazy.
5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome cheezy metal!! 24 Jun 2008
By Jeffrey Roth - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
I found this CD in a used bargain bin at a huge music store back in 1997. I had never heard of Tigertailz and knew nothing about them. But I've always loved bad/good 80s metal, and I just figured with a cover like that, the CD had to be worth $3.99.
I was definitely not disappointed!! This album is SO great!! And when I say "great", I mean great if you're looking for super mega distorted guitars and an over the top singer performing ridiculously catchy pop tunes...the classic recipe for extra-gooey 80s glam cheese!!
Seriously, this album is a must buy for anyone who would ever call themselves an 80s metal fan!
