Whats so special about this book to me, is the build up the story has. The first half of the story is all about setting up the characters and finding out who they really are, how well they work as a group and most importantly, when their homework is due in.

Allan Heinberg does a remarkable job with the young avengers, creating characters that feel real and converse with each other just as young teenagers would. He obviously takes his experience from his TV days and brings it all and more into this story, full of surprises and loveable characters.

Jim Cheung, one of the best artists on the scene right now, brings his A-game, producing one of the best looking books Marvel have on offer. He is an artist with his own unique style which shines through incredibly well right here in this complete collection.

The reason for 4 stars and not 5? If anything it lost a little something during the middle of the book. The artist was swapped out for two issues and that really threw me off. The story also hit a slow patch but this is unavoidable during a massive 13 issue run.

Finally, in one word, this book is fantastic. Its well worth the read, well worth the time and something that Marvel haven't really explored to its fullest before and won't again, until these two come together and continue the series. I can't wait to see more from them.

This book has a real feelgood factor to it. The characters are engaging and have depth to them and for me at least the stories were strong enough for me to very much want this series to continue. If you like books by such people as Whedon, Bendis, Kirkman & Slot et al then I am sure you will also like this one.

This was AWESOME! Way better than I expected. The artwork is one of the best I've seen and what originally drew my attention to this. I love the characters as well so cleverly developed, they're like what one can imagine the Avengers would be like running around with powers & costumes as teenagers. Quality Stuff, Very Grateful

a fantastic story with a compelling cast of believable teens well worth a read now if you dislike the idea of teen superheroes give this a go it may change your mind. Ties in with new avengers and the pulse but isn't overshadowed by them. The highest praise I can give is after finishing it I wanted more
