I bought this book ten years ago when I was quite new to looking after cats. I used the book to learn about the reality of choosing and then looking after my two new cats. This book covers absolutly everything a novice and experenced cat owner would need. Now I used the book to dip into every now and then for information..((Contents --->Cat anatomy, origins of the cat,cat breeds, choosing a cat, kitten care, housing and handling, feeding, grooming, showing, understanding your cat, breeding, health care, first aid))

This book was very helpful with my studies, when I had to produce an assignment on the cat skeleton. I found it excellant to read and interesting in parts I didnt know about the cat. I think the author has written it well with diagrams and explanations about everything you would want and need to know about the cat. But aswell as using this book for my studies I also use it to look up the health, breeds, breeding and anatomy of any cat in the world.
It is definatly an excellant book and from reading it, I would recommend it to anyone studying animals or have a cat of their own.

This book has all you need to know as a novice or long time cat owned person. Great diagnostics section, has saved me a fortune in vet bills and let me know when the vet was needed. Great book, I recommend it to anyone I know who homes a cat.
