This single has to be the song of this summer: it's cheerful, instantly likeable and never gets boring. It's accurate to say that Athlete are fun. When the chorus of "Oh! It's getting hot in here..." comes in, it's as if everbody automatically knows the words. I suppose they are a bit like Blur in their Parklife days, with that same fresh, 'nothing's depressing' sound. Athlete are also an excellent band to see live, so do so if you get the chance. Although nothing compared to the headliners, when they were supporting Mansun recently, they were loud, confident and "Well good".

The Heathen Chemistry of the Gallagher brothers is painfully outdated and unrequired in comparison to the tunes of these south londoners. Their musc is simple yet intricate, melodic but not disinteresting. The finer elements of beta bands electro playfulness, the hives mayhem in meloydy and the haunting britpop vein of travis coldplay et al are fused in to this fabulous record, Buy it and brace yourselves for athlete...

I like this, I like this a lot. I bought the first single, Westside, after catching it briefly on the radio and I'm pleased I did. It didnt come out of my stereo for quite a few weeks. 'You got the stlye' is a great follow up. Its funky, foot tappingly good and just makes you want to smile when you here it. The great thing about athlete is that their sound is unique and you will not have heard anyone like the them. You know when an athlete song is on because of their trademark beat and superb use of out dated scrapheap electronic keyboards. This begs the question, when will we get bored of their sound and won't all of their songs sound the same? Maybe, but I don't care. For now at least put this tune on your stereo , sit back, relax and wolf down ure tequila and vimto.
