4.0 out of 5 stars DORIS RULES!, 14 Mar 2010
This review is from: With 6 You Get Eggroll [DVD] [1968] (DVD)
A fairly amusing little film about the adjustments families have to make when a new member enters the clan (in this case, the father figure).Filmed in 1968,it has dated quite well (the overage hippies at the end of the movie notwithstanding!)and Doris Day looks georgeous, she just got better looking with age.Sadly, this was the last movie she made before her tv series and then retirement.Brian Keith is excellent as the new man in the family trying to fit in,almost like a good humoured, domestic John Wayne! So,by no means essential viewing but a pleasing way to pass 90 minutes and worth it to see Doris Day at her beautiful best.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love Day & Keith, 12 Aug 2010
This review is from: With 6 You Get Eggroll [DVD] [1968] (DVD)
I thoroughly enjoy watching this movie. 70's style, love the club scene and the one-liners. I liked the storyline and Doris Day & Brian Keith great to watch.

4.0 out of 5 stars SIX EGGROLLS, 26 July 2010

(TOP 500 REVIEWER)    (REAL NAME)
This review is from: With 6 You Get Eggroll [DVD] [1968] (DVD)
WITH SIX YOU GET EGGROLL,1968,colour,was DORIS DAY'S thirty nineth[39]and final film. Amongst the cast were
BRIAN KEITH,PAT CARROLL,BARBARA HERSHEY.
Doris is yet again superb in a comedy that has a few comical scenes in it. Basically it is a film about a widower
Jake Iverson[Keith]who comes into the family life of a beautiful widow,Abby McClure[Day]who has three children
of her own,and he has one child. And through various disagreements, her family need to accept that[and live]together
in harmony,as Abby intends to eventually settle down with Jake. Being the late 1960s,some of the hilarious scenes involve
a group of hippies-especially towards the hilariously funny ending.
Prior to this,Doris's thirty eighth[38]film was titled,"WHERE WERE YOU WHEN THE LIGHTS WENT OUT?",1968,colour,her co-stars included,
ROBERT MORSE,TERRY-THOMAS,PATRICK O'NEAL,and the beautiful LOLA ALBRIGHT. This film has yet to be released on dvd.
Regards,Bill.
