Product Description

The last place Anna Terry expects to fall in love is in the waiting room of her divorce lawyer’s office. But that’s where she meets Nick Diamond and Cupid’s arrow strikes. If only they were in the mood... Anna’s had more than her fair share of heartache. Her first marriage ended before her pregnancy was over, and her second husband has disappeared, leaving her with a two-year-old son, a pre-pubescent daughter and not a penny to her name. Nick’s luck hasn’t been any better: his wife has run off with the local butcher - which wouldn’t be so bad if she wasn’t a vegetarian! His second-hand car dealership is in chaos and his mother is sure that line-dancing will mend his ‘Achy Breaky Heart’. When Anna gets a job as Nick’s secretary, what starts as a mild flirtation soon accelerates into overdrive – but that’s before their ex-partners show up and they’re all in for a bumpy ride.

I have just finished reading this wonderfully funny, heart-warming book. Every woman wants to read something that takes them away from it all, yet it's great when we can associate certain things in ourselves with the characters - You Drive Me Crazy had that.

Personally, I could not put it down. I wanted to read it so I knew what happened, but I also did not want the story of Anna, Nick, Sophie & Sam to end. At the end I had tears of happiness in my eyes. I could not rate this book more highly - I will be buying every Carole Matthews book in the future!

You Drive Me Crazy 23 Jan 2011
By Amy
Format:Paperback
One thing I like about Carole Matthews's books is that she has very short chapters (usually only a handful of pages at the most) which allow me to pick up the book and read just a few pages here and there although I usually end up reading a lot more than I've intended as I think 'just one more chapter.' 'You Drive Me Crazy' is no exception to this rule and I found that I quickly flew through reading the book.

It's a lovely story which flows at a great pace and tells the story of several different characters and their thoughts and feelings to the events in the book and how they come about. I could really feel for the characters and had great empathy for them throughout the story thanks to Carole's wonderful writing style.

This is a must read for any Carole Matthews fan and a great introduction to Carole Matthews's work if you've never read any of her previous books.

I found this a very easy read, and definitely enjoyed it. However, I have to say that I found the characters lack richness, and both the story and the characters lacked credibility. The plot was very predictable, but I did read it keenly to the end, so it can't have been all that bad.
