I have lost 64lbs in the past 12 months and I could not have done it without this book.I am 50 years of age and I have always struggled with my weight.BUT what made this book so special you may ask,the answer,this book deals with your head and not your stomach.Like most people I knew what I should and should not eat, but could not keep it up for more than a day or two at the most,this book helped me understand my behaviour around food,it took away DEPRIVATION and replaced it with choice MY CHOICE.Whether I ate something or not it was up to ME,have you any idea how liberating that feels. I have not eaten chocolate in over 12 months and this is from a confirmed chocoholic, I made the decision to cut it out of my diet, no one else ME.I recommend this book wholeheartedly,I have just finished reading it for the FOURTH TIME as I find it so motivating,there are many light bulb moments within the book,buy and read it, is my advice to you.

I agree with all those who have said that this book immediately made an astounding difference to their life. I have only had the book a week, and have dropped 5 lbs in that week, but for me that is a happy side effect - the MAIN benefits being that I can have a fantastic relationship with food, easily and for the rest of my life (no more guilt, cravings, binges and low self-esteem). If you had asked me 8 days ago if I could imagine NOT drinking cappuccino's (just ask my friends!), eating eggs WITHOUT toast or NOT loving pasta with cheese or even going a week without snacking in the evening OR drinking coffee without milk ...I would have laughed in your face! I have changed so much in that week it's quite phenomenal!
I have read Paul McKenna, Beyond Chocolate and countless books on emotional eating over the last 5 years and I am sure each one has left an impression, but Marisa's book is like finding the final piece of the jigsaw and now I feel everything makes sense. This is the ONLY book I have written a review for, and if my friends ask 'what has come over you?' (which they will, after a few weeks of no cappuccino's or carrot cake)... I will tell them all about this book. I am so grateful to Marisa for writing it.

Don't usually feel that I would be taken in by any form of hypnosis or for that matter easily persuaded to change embedded habits. But, this book really opens your eyes to habitual eating habits that make you unhealthy and also make it difficult to lose weight.

In the past I have tried so many diets and none of them have been successful long term. I have only been trying out this new way of eating for a matter of weeks and it has made such a difference and it just makes sense. I have already managed to cope with cravings such as sugar, wheat and dairy and I am eating so much more healthier. I have already shed 1 stone and people are starting to notice the change, not just in my weight but my general appearance.

I don't weigh anything, I don't count calories and I don't worry about food constantly - I love this book and I am so glad I found it.
