My 3 year old loved this book - and I loved reading it to her. The storyline is simple - Jim's a bit scared to take the plunge in a swimming pool -then finally falls in - but the rhyming is very catchy and the illustrations are great. A lovely funny book worth reading.

A great buy. Simple story, bouncy rhyme, and appealing illustrations. Loved by my 2 and 7 year olds (he now reads it to her).
We bought the mini treasure series version and have accumulated a large collection of the mini-format books which are very convenient for travelling, and to add to your handbag-full of wipes, spare pants and snacks for small children. (They also make great alternatives to a party bag full of plastic rubbish.)

I bought this book for myself when I was teacher training, and i bought it from a bookclub having seen just the picture! I was not disappointed.. this book is funny and poignant and so so good! Since my nephew has come along and adopted the book as his own and we have been reading it to him since he was about 2.. he's 5 1/2 now and its still his favourite book ever! We also have pass the jam jim which isnt as good and are trying to order Need a trim jim.. without much sucess!!

What a lovely tale, we originally found this in the library and after many renewals found it on amazon and it is now a bed time favorite.
