4.0 out of 5 stars brilliant dance single--but the non-LP tracks are downtempo.... 8 May 2007
By Daniel W. Kelly - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD|Amazon Verified Purchase
For those unfamiliar with this band, Shiny Toy Guns has brought 80s electronic music to the new millennium. LOVE the song "You Are the One", which is just a taste of the brilliance of the entire album.

My main reason for getting this disc is the 2 tracks that weren't on the LP. I'm happy to have them because I'm a completist, but I was hoping for at least one of them to have the energy that the album tracks offer. "Weather Girl" is a minimalistic, downtempo electronic track, with alternating vocals between the male and female singer. Very catchy vocals and melody, but it would have been great to have a dance remix because the song could totally work in that format. "I Promise You Walls" is sung entirely by the female, and is extremely moody with barely any rhythm track at all. Had it been on the album, it would have been considered filler. It's not a track I'd want to listen to over and over again.
