I guess a lot of people in the UK or other English speaking countries have never listened to an 'Archive' album.
They are not the sort of group or 'Collective' as they like to call themselves, that get played on the radio. You may however have heard a piece of their music as part of a film track or pushing an advertisement for something or another, and asked yourself, who's that?
Well it was ARCHIVE and this album marks the start of the group as a three members collective, Craig Walker being the voice on this dark and deep trip. The first track 'Noise' is just great and really is a good starter for that which follows. I remember seeing them 'Live' for the first time in the city of Colmar in eastern France. I wondered what I was going to hear, since I hadn't heard of them or their music before. 90 minutes later I was completely taken, something that has never happened to me with any other group.
Do yourself a favour. If you are into music along the style of Radiohead, Pink Floyd or UNKLE, you will dig this group of musicians. Now go and listen to some 'Noise'
