Product Description

Lily McAllister never wanted to see Luke Tanner again after their split two years ago. The by-the-book cop made it perfectly clear he didn’t want to marry into the city’s first family of crime after he found out Lily was one of those McAllisters. So when he turns up at her house, shutting the door in his face seems like the best thing to do, especially since she’s just broken the law. She would have done it too if he hadn’t handcuffed her. Now she’s got to explain why he shouldn’t arrest her for stealing a diamond necklace when her face is on the CCTV footage. And she’s got to ignore the feelings resurfacing between them.

Luke Tanner still loves Lily, despite her family. It defies logic but his feelings for her never had anything to do with his brain. Now logic has taken a hike again because he’s willing to do anything to win her back, including breaking the law. And grovel. A lot.

YOU AGAIN is a 27,000 word novella, approximately one-third the size of a novel.

I really liked this book. Short and snappy with two lead characters that were meant for each other. I like romances that aren't slushy with characters that are believable. This was a quick read but nevertheless, it hit the spot with me. I'll be looking out for more from this author.

MODERN ROMANCE 30 Mar 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
I nearly gave this a 3* rating and then I thought about it and realised that, that would be because it's not really my genre, rather than being poorly written. That didn't seem fair or in deed gracious as I hadn't paid for it!

I download it because it was free but also it had just one other review at that time, which was 5*, so I thought I'd give it a go. As I say, unfortunately it's not really my genre, I like my romance light-hearted and I suppose more traditional (being an older lady!!).

At first, after I'd read a chapter or so, I was tempted to abandon the book and delete from my Kindle. It seemed to be going along the 'he-man - bulging bicep' route with Luke. And Lily was a bit of a contradiction with thoughts of slicing Luke's 'bits' off and then Luke describing her as gentle-natured and a wonderful soul. It did pick up though and I made it easily to the end.

This novella was reasonably well written, definitely not the case for all the freebies on Kindle, so if a more modern, gritty romance is your genre I'd say give it a go, especially if it's still free. The synopsis is a pretty good description of what you'll get.

Maybe, I might give Surrender, a book by the author's alter-ego a go, an historical romance.

Sizzling and Sexy 7 Mar 2012
By Tara Marie Gabor - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
You Again is a fast paced, fun read. I read it in one sitting. This tells a story about Lilly, a woman with a past, or rather, a woman with a family history. She complicates her life by falling in love with a police officer. He broke off their relationship because of her family, but now, he's back. The love scenes were great; they sizzle; they're honest; they don't go on and on and on ad nauseam. The character of Lilly's mother is a hoot, and I would enjoy more stories in which she figures more heavily as well as the rest of the family not in You Again. This story was light-hearted and easy to read, but its length does not give enough time to fully develop the characters and I would like to see more of them. Lilly and Luke make a good team and I can see misadventures in their future.

You Again 8 April 2012

This is a quick paced book that gave me a very enjoyable few hours. I mostly liked the witty dialog. In the end I really liked the characters but I thought the book didn't over stay its welcome. I usually like a longer book but this was perfect.

A thief's daughter and a cop 2 April 2012

She's caught on tape, but what did she actually do? Old flame, Luke, comes to find out. He cut the connection because he was going places in the department and being related to a thief wasn't good for the image. As they work together to solve the mystery, he has to decide how important that image really is. This is a very short story. I liked it.
