Don't get me wrong, if you're persistent enough you could find 80% of the content online, but the book is so well organised and thorough its worth it to have all the knowledge in one place.
The book is split up into four main sections: Finding your Dog, The Homecoming, Taking Care of your Dog, and Training.
The most useful sections are The Homecoming, Taking Care and Training. I would point out that the Homecoming section constitutes most of the 20% I couldn't find online. For some it would be worth the price alone for that section.
The book is well written and includes diagrams where needed. There are also 8 pages of colour photographs in the centre, which I thought was a nice touch.
So why 4 stars and not 5? The book is aimed at an American audience, which makes some chapters in the book irrelevant e.g. finding a yorkie, vaccination laws. Also, I'm still not sure how to tie a topknot!
Overall, the book is great, and a bargain to boot.
