About the Author

Ian Emberson was born in Sussex in 1936. He has lived in Yorkshire for over 35 years, currently in the small town of Todmorden - just within the Yorkshire boundary, despite the postal address. For many years he was Music Librarian at Huddersfield, but has now retired in order to concentrate on writing and art. He also enjoys walking and swimming and is a life-member of the Gaskell and Bronte Societies. This is his eighth book.

Format:Paperback
This is a most readable book. It is not quite an autobiography, more an account of the interaction between the author and a county he's come to love, and the way he feels about its people. I found I did not want to put it down, and it didn't last me nearly as long as I'd expected.

This is a book to read, give away to others, and keep for ever.
