This is a fabulous book, we have already done 3 walks from the book and it is great to end a walk at a local pub, we love it!!

I originally bought this book to persuade someone to walk further, and it works! What better encouragment than a pub to relax in at the end of a refreshing walk across the Dales?!

It is very well laid out, with good descriptions of the area as well as the difficulty and length of the walks. I haven't cycled any of the routes suggested, but they look as well thought out as the walks. I haven't had any problems finding any of the places set out in the book, but I do know the area quite well already.

Some walks are suitable for families, but there are also longer options for those feeling fit! There is plenty of information included about the pubs and things to see along the way. The walks cover some beautiful countryside, and this book has encouraged me to spend more time in areas I wouldn't normally think to visit.

Sadly, all of the walks and rides in this book begin in random car parks with no mention of the nearest towns/villages from which one could cycle or take public transport. If you intend to drive to the start point then I'm sure this book would be perfect, otherwise I wouldn't bother!
