The York, 22 April 2010
This review is from: The York. A large NEW and IMPROVED rabbit and guinea pig hutch
Very good rabbit hutch, large enough for my bunnies to get exercise when I'm at school but cheap enough for me to buy with my Confirmation money. Cookie and Cream love their home, and there's a hatch that swings down on the ladder/slide so if a fox gets in the run it can't get to Cookie and Cream. I put wood shavings and straw on the groun of the run because of
1) Our street is concrete, no grass except for the feilds around our house.
2) There are horibble little ants called pissmires around the feilds I've mentioned, but I blocked the gaps between the run and the ground with clay if yuo have similar problems.
3) Use a thermal cover in winter if you live in Ireland like me. Or, y'know, England either. Or Germany. Or Iceland. I'm babbling. I'll stop. Sorry.
So, anyway, from an 11-year-old girl's point of view, a wonderful hutch in any conditions.

Piggie Palace!!!, 31 May 2010
This review is from: The York. A large NEW and IMPROVED rabbit and guinea pig hutch
We got this hutch for our new guinea pigs a couple of weeks ago and it is HUGE! It arrived in only a couple of days of ordering it, only disappointment being the plastic base for the main hutch was split along one side however we contacted the seller and a prompt delivery of a new base soon arrived in tip top condition. Also it says that the build time is approximately 10 minutes, and a screwdriver was supplied but the screwdriver wasn't to be seen in the packaging and it took two reasonably good DIY people 1h 1/2 to build! Although this product is very good value because in some pet stores you could buy just the top bit for the same price and have to figure out how to get it back to your house without paying extra on delivery.
Once it was built the GP's seemed to love it as there is so much space to run around and put toys in it to keep them busy. At first we were worrying that they couldn't get up and down the ladder because of their tiny legs because they are only babies and we considered putting extra bits of wood on it but after a while they seemed to sort of get the hang of it but even now they have grown a bit and are over 3 months old they still kind of slide down it and scramble up it but they seem to be able to move fast enough when I try to catch them for a cuddle or to put them to bed, but I'm sure they will get better in time `coz practice makes purrfect!'
All in all a great product and I would definitely recommend to a friend (or foe) with animals in need of a run around without getting captured by a cat.
