Ok so there's not much to expect from a standard 10kg weight plate, it's round and heavy and has a one inch hole in the middle. It certainly does the job. However I ordered two lots of York-10Kg-weights-x2 and both sets (4 plates) have an appalling finish: rough surface moulding, chipped black paint, one has started to show signs of surface rust, they look like seconds. I expect much better.
I already have a selection of Golds Gym weights and these are perfect, so there is no excuse from York. I really cannot be bothered with the hassle to return any of these to Amazon, so one day I spruce them up with fresh lick of metal paint.

I already owned a variety of York discs (ranging in weight from .5kg to 5kg), needed more weight, bought 4 of the 10kg York discs and I'm very happy with my purchase.
The weights I received were in perfect condition (unlike some others here it seems) and fit well on both my York and Golds Gym bars. I've slapped them down a bit hard on a concrete floor a few times when finishing a set of deadlifts and they've taken the punishment no problem.
Value for money wise, you just can't go wrong. They do exactly what I want them to (weigh 10kgs!!)and when I upgrade for more weight, if I don't go for a couple of York 20kg discs, I'll definitely buy more of these.

Good Solid Product
