5.0 out of 5 stars Another great set of notes =] 2 Mar 2009
By B.W
Format:Paperback
After choosing to use Atonement for A2 level coursework I did initially find it difficult to think of an area of the book to focus on. I found this york notes in a Waterstones bookshop but paid £6.99 for it, buy it off amazon its a great price!! It has a detailed overview of each chapter and 'extended commentaries' containing some great ideas. As with other york notes it has its sections on themes, characterisation, language and style, and loads of notes on McEwan's life.
It has been a huge help to me and if anyone wants notes on Atonement, particularly for A levels it's hugely helpful =]

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, well-planned and very informative 4 Dec 2010
Format:Paperback
This is an excellent study guide for Atonement. The notes cover everything and ask questions throughout, as well as constant tips of where to find further readings in a variety of ways. I would strongly recommend this for anyone studying or reading Atonement for pleasure. Definitely worth getting and a reasonable price. I am always impressed by how good the York Notes series is.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good on background 13 Mar 2013
By Pamela
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
This guide supplies good information on allusions to other works, very relevant in the composition of McEwan's novel, and provides a more than adequate historical context.
