Bought this set for £59.99 at Argos - minus the case which I don't really have any need for anyway. All well made and sturdy kit and excellent as a starter set for home use.
The dumbells come with rubberized grips which handle very nicely. The barbell has bare metal grips and is very study - I reckon I could load 50kg on either end of this barbell with no problems - not that I could lift it.
At some point I can see that I am probably going to have to buy additional discs to avoid having to swap discs between the dumbells and the barbell but this is not a negative comment on this product.
I'm well pleased with my purchase of this set and would recommend to others.

After reading other folks reviews on this article i decided to purchase item. It is an excellent starter pack, not to sure about the two piece barbell though? A lot of weight to put on a split joint, you will have to be careful when assembling not to cross thread it as threads look vulnerable. Plastic carry case/storage is not up to the job, mine came smashed as well. Not cracked but smashed, so if you intend using it beware. Postage price a wee bit costly but will put that down to weight of package? But arrived in plenty of time it took 4 Days.

the title kind fo says it all really. The weights are good, it's a decent size set , the spinlocks are good and the case it handy for storage etc (a tiny criticsm was that the delivery driver broke the castors off the case when he delivered it but hardly the fault of the product). I would definitely recomend this for anyone looking to get a set.
