The seller was excellent. The speed light is powerful and easy to control in either manual using a wireless trigger or in slave mode. I've used it indoors mostly but it has worked fine outdoors using a stand and soft box. Battery life seems good and it recycles very quickly. With the right modifier you can produce good even lighting over a wide area even on reduced power.
If you're looking to create off camera flash and want portability without breaking the bank and you're happy shooting in manual then these are hard to beat.

Picked up one of these to use in combination with my Metz flash for off camera work.
I'm overall very pleased with the flash it is both well built, powerful and with a quick recycle time.

But it is important to know what you are getting with this flash, and where it might be useful to you/type of shooting you do etc etc.

I'll do my usual good/bad list first though:

Pros:
+ Excellent price/bang per buck - For a manual flash for off camera work (main use) it is unbeatable value.
+ Good build quality, solid plastics and firm contruction with no obvious creaking, very respectable at this price point. Buttons are solid plastic (not rubber) and feel decently made and responsive
+ Fast recycle times on the flash about 3 seconds at full power
+ Powerful output, more than enough power here for your needs, and a lot more power than say an SB700 or 430EXII Canon flash (and a lot cheaper too)
+ Has a pc sync socked and a port for adding an external power pack
+ Comes with a decent padded case, and stand
+ Metal hinge on battery door feels solid and has not caused any problems to date
+ Easy to use and set up with a logical layout and large back lit LCD
+ Audio beep confirm/power saving modes and fine tuning of output in 1/3 stop increments
+ Built in WA panel and white card
+ Has a multi strobe flash output (can be adjusted for no.

Bought two of these to use off camera only (in combination with Nikon flash)

The build quality is really very good at this price point.

I have used them for a few weeks now using Yongnuo RF-603 N1 2.4GHz triggers, all working faultlessly so far.

If you are happy using manual only flash they are a steal - recommended

I bought one of these to be used as a remote source of lighting and it works perfectly. It is easy to set and use with different modes for remote use including the multi mode that allows you to use more than one flash at once remotely. Easy settings to adjust the power or intensity of the flash light. Very well made, feels solid and durable. It was easy to buy from the seller and delivery was fast. I am very happy with it.

With a photoshoot arranged at an abandoned location I began searching for a flashgun that would work in perfect unison with my somewhat aging Canon D50. Sometimes it's difficult to know where to turn as a lot of 'guns' on Amazon come with great reviews. However what immediately struck me about this was the button layout and visual display which I thought would be particularly effective out in the field. From experience it's good to have a piece of kit with an easy/instant display and one that offers quick functionality - to have a flashgun that is able to keep up with the ever changing requirements of it's user let alone the environment makes this one effective tool.

Having not had the proper time to read the manual this kit was remarkably easy to use out in the field from the offset and produced amazing results. I was a little concerned about the batteries at first and wondered how long each set of four AA's would last. At my first session I got a clear 500 pictures before changing, which has remained fairly consistent so far through 3 sessions.

This flashgun really does makes light (no pun intended) work of any situation, no matter how challenging.

Brilliant value. Good controls and excellent display. Audible recycling tone comes in useful. Unless you need TTL why pay more, will be getting a few more of these soon.

As a avid photographer, always looking for kit that can deliver a pro result at a bargain price point, I have purchased a number of items made by Yongnuo. This strobe is a great addition to the kit bag, used mainly for rim lighting/back lighting (controlled off the Canon Master strobe).

Important: I always get a little concerned about some of the sellers, especially when it comes to solving issues ( delivery problems with couriers). This seller not only resolved a delivery failure, but did it at the busiest time of the year, so I still got to give this as a present. Thought they were fabulous, hence the strong endorsement. I do like a bargain but buying with confidence is key.
