We'll call it "Recommended." 13 Feb. 2013
By Bobby Windham - Published on Amazon.com
Verified Purchase Durability:    Educational:    Fun:
If you are considering getting into throwing, or you know someone who likes to yoyo, this is an excellent purchase.

There are 3 yoyos in this set - Raider, Maverick, and Ooch-Yo

The Raider is a looping monster. Solid construction, but has a small bearing and spacers. if this yoyo comes apart accidentally, you'll be looking for those things, so make sure it's tight when you throw. You're going to want to get two Raiders so that you can perform 2A (two-handed looping) tricks. Sounds scary, and it is, but it is super-fun, and very impressive.

The Maverick is an enigma. Mine came with the bearing pressed so hard that it was stuck in one side of the yoyo. It also has some sort of brown grease on it. I'm not too fond of the Maverick, but some people love them. It is solid metal (aluminum), has a big bearing, and is pretty wide. The sleep time I have experienced is short (approx. 30 seconds). I'm hoping the performance increases. Some people have reported a "break-in" period with these. I'm hoping I am one of those because I was really excited about this yoyo, in particular.

The Ooch is great. Very much like a Hyperwarp Heavy Wing. It is heavy, has a big bearing, and sleeps for quite a while (minute + if you get a really good throw). The Yomega website says that it is a non-responsive yoyo. Mine is pretty responsive though. I do love this yoyo. It is a string trick monster. I haven't had any trouble doing some longer string tricks with it ("Roller Coaster", and "Skin the Gerbil" in particular).

The set is a really good deal. The Ooch and Maverick are usually $20-$25 a piece. With this set, you also get a lube pen, a holster, and some replacement strings.

What are you waiting for?

this is an amazing kit. 23 Feb. 2014

this is an amazingly priced kit for the yo-yos in it. the raider is awesome for looping. LOOP FOR DAYS. the maverick can loop (though not greatly) but is meant for string tricks. very few yo-yos can beat the maverick a string tricks. And the koch yo, just amazing. Long spin times, smooth bearing, smooth experience. And the best part its UNRESPONSIVE. amazingly awesome for string tricks. Get this kit if you are a beginner get it. intermediate get it. advanced GET IT. Im just saying GGGGEEEETTT IIITTT. you will love it.

Great 21 May 2013

the three yoyos are great. the ooch yo is a bit heavy, but it has ok spin time and is very capable of simple string tricks. the Maverick is wonderful for string tricks, and it has a wide gap, but the response is bad. right out of the box, I had to jump it halfway up the string to get it to come back. the Raider isn't very good, but is a nice add on.

overall, I would reccomend this to anyone who is a beginning yoyoer

Great set of yoyos 22 Oct. 2013
By Balogh András - Published on Amazon.com

So I got these yoyos and I really love them. They're are really good, high quality yoyos and useful additional stuff. I'm from Hungary and the yoyos are in the best condition and they arrived faster, than Amazon.com expected. Piece to piece:
Best looping yoyo tat I ever had. It has a small bearing which makes the yoyo more responsive. It can sleep for about 35-40 seconds with an average throw, but it can easily sleep for 1 minute or so with a good throw. One bad thing: the plastic it's made of isn't really strong so watch out for impact with the ground. All in all it's a great yoyo.
Really love this yoyo,I expected worse. It has a very good response. It doesn't sleep for too much with the standard bearing what you got with the yoyo, but if you change it for a better one, I'm sure this can be your favourite. Its plastic is much stronger but attention is always required!
My favourite from all. It is really heavy, highly responsive with the standard bearing and great for string tricks. I have changed the bearing to a smoother one and I also changed the string for a higher quality one. These two changes made the Maverick unbelievably stable and fast. With that, you can do expert tricks (what you can't do with the Ooch) and a bit of grind as well as the advanced tricks. I'd recommend these two changes to make your yoyo professional.
The Ooch Holster: It has a great design, and it holds your yoyo really good.
Strings: They're not so good. YYF and Duncan strings are better, these strings are good for upgrading the responsibility of your yoyo, but they aren't so high quality ones.
Lube pen: I haven't used this yet.
Great set of yoyos, a beginner, an advanced player and an expert can also find the perfect yoyo for tricking, learning and creating trick.

Yoyo's are good. Raider and Maverick are the best two. 21 Jun. 2014

Maverick is heavy. Raider is way better than the Fireball for looping. Ooch Yo is lighter than Maverick but is more responsive than it should be out of the package.
