for those of us without much medical education, this is a really excellent book that helps and guides the yogi into the asanas. it really helps one start to picture what is happening under the skin shield.

took quite a while to arrive, but worth the wait, really informative if you want to have a better understanding of yoga postures and how the muscles work, excellent progression tips.

i havent actually bought this book but notice that the cover shown and the title of the book do not match! - both exist (see amazon.com for the whole series) but which one you receive through co.uk could be a lottery! I have the original poses and key muscles books which are excellent, & have paged through "hip openers and forward bends" on amazon.com and it seems fabulous - I practice little yoga but the information is invaluable simply for stretching or for pilates.
