Yoga instructor Barbara Benagh has practiced and taught yoga for nearly 35 years. She discovered yoga after moving to England and began teaching. She is a regular contributor of articles to Yoga Journal magazine. She has several audio CDs of live classes available as well as DVDs, the latest being AM/PM Yoga for Beginners and Yoga for Stress Relief that both include a discussion with the Dalai Lama. How are these DVDs different from other yoga DVDs? I was drawn to working with Bodywisdommedia because they produce DVDs they are interactive. Rather than a one size fits all single routine that is typical of most products, these DVDs offer choice, allowing the user to customize and change their yoga practice to suit their needs. No two persons are the same so the ability to change your practice - easing shoulder tension one day and an invigorating morning wake up the next - come as close as possible to allowing you to address your individual needs at home. Not only do people have different physical needs, but they have different time constraints as well. I bought this dvd to deal with recently diagnosed anxiety. There is actually a segment on anxiety, which is wonderful. Like some of the other reviewers, I am an atheltic person (triathlon and skiing mainly) and it took me some time to agree to try something different to calm my mind and my body. Now I find myself doing the breathing exercises while at my desk at work or when I start to feel anxious in crowded places.

This dvd provides a wide variety of exercise options ranging from starting and ending your day to targeting specific problem zones (like neck and shoulders), and much more. Each program has a clear time duration so you can choose based on your schedule.

The exercises are very well explained and demonstrated - and none of them are rushed. The calm sea background is a nice touch.

This dvd teaches relaxing breathing exercises that can be used anytime during the day. Works well for anxiety, panic, stress and sore muscles.

It was my first yoga dvd, I am still a beginner at yoga - works perfectly for my level.

I'm new to yoga and really enjoy using this dvd, both to relax and improve my flexibility. It is easy to listen to and follow, and is good value for money because of all the diffent sessions available via the menu. There are lots of breathing exercises that you can learn and use during the day in times of stress, so I would recommend it for anyone who needs something to help them reduce anxiety whilst at work.

Having a big gap since I last practised yoga it has been difficult to find a DVD that doesn't assume that you're really flexible. This one is becoming a firm favourite for the emphasis on stress relief but still making postures demanding but not ridiculous. The interactive DVD means that you can select easily the workout to suit your time or the area you wish to work on. I recommend this DVD for those not in their first flush of youth.

This DVD really helps to relax me and calm me down. It has also relieved some neck and back pain. I am now sleeping better than I have in years. It is a very beautiful and tranquil DVD with a tremendous variety of routines. I am very pleased with this purchase and highly recommend it for anyone that wants more peace and relaxation in their lives.

This dvd is fantastic for relaxtion and stress relief. I have found it so helpful. It has over 20 different segments - varying in length from 15 mins to 60 mins. I particularly like the deep breathing, meditation and end of day segments which help me truly wind down before sleeping. The tone, mood and setting all enhance the feeling of peace and tranquility. Instructions are clear and easy to follow. Highly recommended.

I bought this particular dvd based on the reviews and the fact it had so many routines on it. The variety of the routines is indeed fantastic with routines for all times of the day (am short, am long, evening revival, sleeping time) and routines for specific muscle groups. The way this dvd is made is each posture has been filmed independently and the routines made up from a combination of these. In theory this is great, but it means that some of the routines have a lack of flow. By this I mean that a posture can finish in standing pose, then the disc moves to the next posture which begins lying down so you jump down to keep up. I find this a bit distracting personally but overall it does give a number of good routines.

I love this DVD I had never done Yoga before and it was recommended to me by a good friend, he said that it is all good to be doing a work out that gets u into a sweat but sometimes to release the stress in the muscles one has to do yoga, I was a little worried thinking i was going to waste my money on buying this DVD but boy how wrong was I !!!

This DVD is really gud and keeps u interested it was loads of different workouts I have not tried them all I do the early morning workout x3 times a week this workout is for 60mins so u feel it after u have finished the whole 60 mins, I am fit person and also do tae-bo x4 times a week, I had never or never would think about buying or doing a yoga dvd as i am more into jumping and sweating it out.

But I suprised myself and I really love this DVD I feel more flexiable now and less stressed the first time i did this even though I would say I am pretty fit I did realise that my muscles were very stiff and I used to get occasional lower back pain, all that has now gone and I am more flexiable than I was before dont get me wrong i need to get really flexiable to do what the lady can do in this dvd but I have made a start and will continue using this dvd x3 times a week.

The ladys voice is very calm and this dvd is set on the beach so u can feel lost in the sounds of the waves and relaxed.....I recommend u buy this dvd if you have never done Yoga before and if u have a stressful lifestyle rushing about as I do, just wake up and do this DVD around x3 times a week and wake up to more of a relaxed mind, flexiable body and feel gud inside and out.

I brought this DVD over from the States and I love it!. This is one of the best yoga DVDs I have seen. It is simple to follow and very relaxing. I have had trouble with neck and back tension from work and sitting at a desk for hours a day. I find doing this DVD really releases a lot of physical and mental stress, It really is amazing and highly recommended.
