Proving the old adage that actions speak louder than words, this book is beautifully illustrated showing cats in various well-known yoga positions. Each cat has his/her own page demonstrating a particular position. Their facial expressions had me in stitches especially when their tongues are sticking out with concentration! Just like humans do. This is a wonderful book written and illustrated by two incredibly gifted people. Check out their 'Astrology for Cats' too.

Humans are far too serious about their yoga practice. Well cats are too but they just seem more natural stretching into their yoga postures than us humans! This little book brings a sense of humour to the art of yoga through well-executed illustrations of cats doing asanas in order to gain self-realisation. Beautifully illustrated - each cat has a personality of its own (and an ego no doubt!). Highly amusing and makes me chuckle every time I look through the book at each of the characters. Some of those cats are trying far too hard (Patanjali would have a fit!) and others are totally in the zone and at one with themselves (om shanti!). So funny seeing their feline expressions - some with their tongues hanging out as they try so hard to be in the present moment.
Feline fun for cat lovers and a way of 'letting go' of vanity for yoga enthusiasts. Also a good way of learning the Sanskrit names for the main postures in yoga with their English translations. Enjoy the facial stretch! And chuckle to your heart's delight.

I bought this book for my wife. It's cute, the drawings are fun to look at, but it gets old quick and really has no practical purpose.
If you arent a cat AND yoga lover, this wont be your thing.
At least make sure you get it on sale!
