This yoga practice is excellent, very well guided and enjoyable, although slightly too fast at some points. The teacher's voice is indeed very calming and encouraging. Complementary information on yoga would be useful for beginners. The workout is a bit difficult at the beginning so people new to yoga should also know that the practice is progressive and that working bits by bits will allow in the end to do all the postures well in the end. Beginners shouldn't be discouraged as it gets easier and easier each time. This practice is generally good for women's littles troubles as painful ovulation or menstruation, it helps connect with the body, release negative emotion and relaxing. As I have just stopped the pill, I cannot comment on the efficiency on fertility yet, but in my opinion, anyone will find a benefit in these excercices anyway, and the relaxation and releasing of tension in the internal organs, muscles and the mind can only be helpful on the way to pregnancy.

5.0 out of 5 stars love it! 28 Nov 2009
Format:DVD
I love this DVD! it combines chakras and chinese medicine (focusing upon the yin) which is something no other DVD's do. The routine is really simple and doesn't take long. The thing I like most about it is that the instructor explains the benefits being achieved during each pose in relation to the effect it has upon the body and how that is benifical in increasing fertility. I would therefore definately recommend this DVD to others!

5.0 out of 5 stars lovely practice 6 Dec 2011
Format:DVD
I really enjoyed doing this practice, its flowing and relaxing and at times i felt it was really empowering. I wouldn't say its suitable for complete beginners, but as long as you have a basic understanding of the poses and postures and how to adapt them to your own level, i think this dvd would be fine. I've been doing yoga a while but still consider myself to be beginners level, and i was able to follow it ok....once you've done it a few times you can just follow her voice and not look at screen which makes it easier. If your into yoga or relaxation, and the princicples behind it, you will enjoy this. :)

2.0 out of 5 stars Yoga for fertility 31 May 2010
By Hope
Format:DVD
This product is listed as being suitable for beginners. It is not. It is necessary to have a good level of yoga before attempting this video. I have foundation level and was not able to follow it without having to rewind.

3.0 out of 5 stars Very poor quality - is it a copy? 28 Oct 2013
Format:DVD|Verified Purchase
I was eagerly awaiting this DVD after having seen her on Youtube and being a Yoga teacher myself. I was dissapointed with the quality of the DVD itself. It is very grainy and could be better. I have to ask is this a cheap copy of the origional?

2.0 out of 5 stars Not the best fertility yoga dvd around 11 Jan 2012
Format:DVD
Once again, I feel like I've wasted money on a product that is not up to scratch, because I read the positive reviews on Amazon and believe them. We spend enough money on fertility treatments of various kinds and it frustrates me when i buy something that is average at best. There are some good postures in this dvd but there are about 6 or 8 variations on the forward bend, which if you have any back problems, will not be easy for you. It also left me feeling dizzy and weak after doing it so you really have to take care and listen to your body when doing these dvds without a yoga instructor. My mum and sister are yoga teachers and I know there are better dvds out there so dont waste your money. One of the best I've come across is by Fairhaven Health, called Bend Breathe and Conceive. There are parts in the middle that are difficult for a beginner, but it is the best I've come across for posture work, breathing and relaxation. Good luck to all TTC.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very relaxing & flowing 6 Mar 2011
Format:DVD|Verified Purchase
I have only been using the Fertility 4 Yoga by Brenda Strong for a short time; though I have practiced yoga and am experienced at it. I found it challenging to get started as I hadn't exercised for a while and my body was fairly stiff. Once I did get started, and got used to it, I really enjoyed it; and especially the feeling of relaxation afterwards and how my body felt energised and I slept amazingly well the very first time I did the yoga DVD!

When I first started using Brenda's Fertility 4 Yoga, I found my body ached so much along with my bones and I ached in places I never knew I could; though slowly after, the aches disappeared and my flexibility increased as did the enjoyment of the poses which my body really looked forward to as it felt like my insides were being massaged.

I thoroughly enjoyed the poses which flowed and found my flexibility increased as time went on and I could quite happily stay in the poses for longer than showed in the DVD. I am fairly flexible naturally and perhaps the poses may be somewhat challenging for a beginner; though you do what you can and your flexibility will increase over time as you breathe into the poses. I love the Ujai breathing which helps me go more into the postures.

As there is no music (Brenda performs the yoga exercises in a garden to birds chirping in the background), I tend to use my own music in the background which helps me personally.

It's too early days yet as I've only just begun to see how it has affected my fertility. The ovulation cramps and menstrual cramps which I have had most months have disappeared since using the DVD which I am grateful for.

I highly recommend this DVD.
