5.0 out of 5 stars Superb Book - Life Changing 4 Jan 2011
By Mickeyk
Format:Paperback
I found this book to an insightful and entertaining look into an area that I knew very little about. I read it on a recommendation of a friend as it's not the type of book I would typically read to be honest but I have to say it was well worth the read.

Mr Foley demonstrates a clear understanding of masculine and feminine forces and energies at work within us and has an uncanny ability to communicate this in a concise way. This is very much a book aimed at the real, practical world with great examples and very well researched.

I recommend wholeheartedly!

5.0 out of 5 stars the yin yang complex 23 Jan 2011
Format:Paperback
This is a well written, well researched and easy to read book on a topic which will interest everyone in some way. It is an enjoyable read packed full of information on the interplay of yin and yang through all aspects of our lives. We are given practical examples of the points made. The author shares some personal stories to demonstrate the different theories and this makes for a nice comfortable read on a subject that could be otherwise complicated. The Yin Yang complex is one of those books you could pick up at any time after reading it and get some more knowledge from it - it is packed full of information.
An all round good read.

2.0 out of 5 stars could be more positive................ 23 Sep 2012
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
The Yin Yang complex is well written, however I feel that the author missed a trick here. There is an abundance of negative commentary about banks, war, the church among other subjects. There is very little from a positive uplifting perspective, apart from the exercises given at the end of the chapters.

Some of this books sounds like the 10 o clock news on a very bad day in the middle east, a bit depressing and downtrodden with a lot of complaining about world events bordering on the conspiratorial. The title is a little misleading as it seems to point towards self improvement and that is not the agenda I feel from this. The author in my opinion has failed to understand the bigger picture surrounding Yin and Yang. Brendan you might want to read up on some Jane Roberts, Dr Wayne Dyer and Abraham Hicks and then rethink your work.

Could have been so much, maybe a good start for the beginner in this field, but I would point people towards Wayne Dyer - particularly 'The Shift' and 'Change your thoughts change your' life for a more helpful uplifting read.

The only reason I have given 3 stars is because the exercises given, otherwise it would have 1 star.
