Product Description

NOTE: Due to reader feedback from the original Episode 18's unclear ending, we have revised the ending of Episode 18 and added three chapters of around 2,500 words of new content and an Author's Note at the end of this episode which explains the changes. Thank you to the readers who let us know of the ending's issues and thank you for giving us the chance to offer a clearer, and hopefully more satisfying, ending.

(THIS EPISODE WILL BE FREE FROM SUNDAY JULY 29 -  AUGUST 2 so all who originally got Episode 18 can read this revised edition without buying the book a second time. We are removing the other episode from sale so as not to run afoul of KDP Select by having two editions. However, I believe the sales page will still be found here so you can see the original reviews amazon.com/dp/B008OINBU6/)

5.0 out of 5 stars Superb!!! 29 July 2012
By P. Bate
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
Having read the 'original' episode 18 a few days ago I was a little surprised to see a revised edition but I'm happy to say it's as good as (if not even better) than it's slightly shorter predecessor.

Sean & David added three additional chapters for this version which explains what became of some of the characters as the original ending left it a little vague, overall though an outstanding serialisation which fully deserves a second read.

All I can say is roll on season 4 because this has truly been one of the best things I have read on my Kindle, from the anticipation of getting each episode and all the time knowing the guys are going to leave you waiting the next instalment...

Wonderful stuff!!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Episode 18: REVISED EDITION... with new information regarding the ending... 4 1/2 Stars 29 July 2012
By R. Nicholson - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
My original review of July 25/12 is on that book's Amazon.com page, so I will not repeat it here.

The following is a very brief description of the changes made for the 'new' ending of episode 18...

Please be warned that this short blurb may contain some unintentional SPOILERS.

1.) the authors have amended the original ending, after hearing some serious concerns from various readers. This amendment takes the form of 3 new chapters added to the end of Episode 18. It details several of the people that made it back to 'Our Earth' and thus clears up much of the confusion regarding who, if anyone, made it back alive OR was left stranded on "Other Earth'.

2.) how many authors would spend the time and effort involve to correct a preceived mistake and then make it available free to their readers... precious few I can assure you.
Kudos to both Sean and Dave for doing the right thing. Bravo gentlemen!

5.0 out of 5 stars Incredible 30 July 2012

Something has to be said for the authors who would take reader responses so seriously that they'd give us a longer, more in depth season finale. This story has become one of my all time favorites and the latest episode did not disappoint.

3.0 out of 5 stars OK, I'm finished 13 Aug 2012
By D. Michael Sanford - Published on Amazon.com

I finished the last (at least for me) installment of Yesterday's Gone installment 18 last night. I stuck with the series through 18 episodes thinking that it would finally and mercilessly end the series. But it will not. Apparently the series will continue for another three seasons? Of which it will have to do without me. The questions that were answered in #18 were good enough for me, now I can go on to something else.

Frankly, I was getting tired of the Bad Boricio's foul mouth and trying to understand his real role in this strung-out series. There isn't really a hero in the strict sense in Yesterday's Gone, unless you caste Luca as the hero. (what is he, a demigod?) There of course are many individual hero's but they get no reward in the ending.

I must admit that the authors have vivid imagination to be able to keep this series alive for almost a year. It was hard for me to have any identification with any of the characters. Usually in a novel a reader can place him or herself into one of the main characters and relive what is being written, in Yesterday's Gone, you are looking at the fictional characters through a smeared piece of glass, not fully identifying with any of the participants in the story. I have to admit, I was completely lost with the storyline until the Third Season when the authors started to place time lines at the head of each chapter.

All in all, the series is a challenging one to read and understand, but for many readers who probably play war games or believe in zombies will probably continue on in the series, but I will not. Have a good ride.
