5.0 out of 5 stars Gritty, real and purely melodic. 3 Aug 2001

Format:Audio CD
Grant's vocals on this track really set it off. The lyrics and the melodies must be the very best in british rock at the moment. Everything is from the heart and we wouldn't want it any other way. Intense, emotional and incredible are all words which could be used to describe this tune!

4.0 out of 5 stars FEEDER - Yesterday Went Too Soon (single) 22 July 2001
By Louisa Steaton - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
YESTERDAY WENT TOO SOON The first track (also the title track from the second album) is a beautifully crafted piece of art. Mellow strumming mingles with string arrangements, chilled bass rhythms and a non-intrusive drum beat. Along with Grant Nicholas's stunning vocals, this song would feel at home on any movie soundtrack. The lyrics fit frighteningly well to the melody, and emotion-laden strings feature heavily in the middle 8. This is a perfect example of one of Feeder's honey-sweet classics. If you like this, also try Tinseltown and Paperfaces on the album Yesterday Went Too Soon.
B-SIDES Getting To Know You Well Fly
Feeder b-sides never fail to please, and these are no exception. Getting To Know You Well is the quirkier side of Feeder, with harmonic verses and a bongo drum beat. Fly is from the same (although not as powerful) strain as Yesterday Went Too Soon, with an acoustic lead guitar and ambient background melody.
CONCLUSION Yesterday Went Too Soon gives a taste of Feeder's ballad style tracks, and with this CD being an import, would make a valuble contribution to any indie fan's collection.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great sample of Feeder's work 2 Dec 2000
By "sixtymilesmile" - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
A hit here in the UK, the lead track on this disc is typical powerful stadium rock. Even if the term makes you think of long hair, Poison style makeup and soppy Bon Jovi balladry (though I love Bon Jovi's stuff myself) don't be put off, because this is top-drawer stuff. The bonus tracks are also neat, especially the poppy Getting To Know You Well. As with a few Britsh groups, Feeder frequently make B-Sides too good to be buried, and as such the Another Yesterday Collection is worth the money as well. But check this out an an introduction
