Book Description

25 Jun 2012
The best overview of Yesterday comes from Robert Morgan's suggestion that the book is like jumping into Bobby Jackson's car and tagging along during a sixty-year road trip encompassing 2,000 revivals, 15,000 services, and a disproportionate number of misadventures. Along this trip with the Jacksons the reader will go to places they slept, or didn't sleep, sit in services that were disruptive in various ways, listen to denominational controversy in convention business, laugh at humorous stories told in an effort to keep a congregation awake, join Sackbut in adventures with a southern gospel quartet, and along the way learn how it began, how it will end, and what happened during the 60 years in between. It will be an exciting journey.

5.0 out of 5 stars A fascinating look into the long tenure depicted in the life of a traveling evangelist-along with his family 23 Dec 2012
By Fair2midlynn - Published on
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
This autobiography was a heartwarming and poignant depiction of the life and travels of a dedicated Baptist evangelist. There were many stories of the struggles and the blessings that come with the sacrifice it takes to be a dedicated man of God (and woman of God-Bobby's wife). The book was interspersed with humorous anecdotes as well as thought-provoking insights into the life that accompanies those who are faithful and remain steadfast. I would recommend this book to anyone!

Wonderful evangelist! God has certainly used him as a vessel to spread His good news. Mrs. Jane has also been a huge blessing throughout the years too.

I personally knew the individual who wrote the book and found it very interesting about how he grew up and the obstacles he faced along the way.
5.0 out of 5 stars Yesterday by Bobby Jackson 22 Oct 2013

We have known Bobby Jackson and his wife for 60 years and we could relate to so much of the book. It was a wonderful book and we enjoyed reading it to the utmost. Wish I could find another one as good. Rev. Bobby Jackson is probably the best preacher, speaker, evangelist, all round Christian that I know. He and his family sacrificed much to follow the Lord's calling on his life. Jane, his wife, will equally share the rewards in Heaven. Thank you Bobby and Jane for the friendship.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not the book, the publisher 7 Sep 2012

The book was in terrible condition with the first page in the middle of the book. Pages were all out of order. Nothing was in the right place. Again it was not the book itself but the publisher at fault. I would return it but I cannot find the invoice.
