5.0 out of 5 stars Great Comedy makes up for poor DVD 2 Oct 2003
By Mr. Scott G. Mcdonald VINE™ VOICE
This is a wonderful program...anyone with an interest in politics will enjoy all 3 seasons of this program now available on DVD. It should be noted that this season 3 DVD is BETTER than amazon's product description details. This is actually a TWO Disk set - as well as the seven episodes detailed in the product description, this set also includes the Xmas special that leads on to the yet to be released on DVD Yes Prime Minister series. The DVD includes subtitles, but that's it. An opportunity missed on DVD, but still an excellent series.

4.0 out of 5 stars Best Yes Minister so far 6 Jan 2004
Of the three series of Yes Minister that are available on DVD, this is the best, primarily because of the inclusion of the Christmas Special "Party Games" in which Hacker becomes PM. This means that the set is quite good value, for the same price as the other series, although the complete lack of any extra content is a bit disappointing.
In terms of the quality of the shows, I think that series 2 & 3 are quite comparable (better that the first), both are very good although the stories do tend to follow very similar lines and this is very noticeable when you watch episodes in rapid succession.
It would be interesting to see this series make a return, based on the current political climate - how much would change and how much would be the same? Come on, BBC, how about it!

4.0 out of 5 stars Classic English Wit 22 Aug 2005
The Yes Minister is full of wit and though made many years ago still seems relevent today. This disc has some classic episodes and was thoroughly enjoyed - and the episodes can improve with second viewings.
