Product Description

Yeoman Hand Held Bulb Planter

No matter how good the end results may be, the thought of planting a row of bulbs in your freshly dug flower bed can sometimes feel like more trouble than it's worth. After spending all that time digging away borders with a spade however, there's no need to then reach out for the trowel. The Yeoman Carbon Steel Bulb Planter allows you to quickly and effortlessly move along your bed, planting bulbs or potatoes as you go. Simply push the steel shaft as far as needed into the ground, then twist up to remove a neat plug of soil. You can then place a bulb into the freshly dug hole, drop the soil back in place with the automatic release mechanism and swiftly move on - that line of hyacinths will be under earth in no time.

If you've got a large number of bulbs to get into the ground, you can't go far wrong with this. It's maybe a little flimsy around the plastic handle though, and for that it loses a star.

Drive it into the ground to the desired depth, remove a plug of soil, pop bulb into the hole, press handle with thumb (or use two hands if you have particularly small or weak hands) and fill in hole. It's that easy.

A simple and cheap, but effective solution that is a genuine time saver over farting about with a trowel!

Not bad for the price. Packaging was poor and had to send for another one as it was damaged. Company very helful and protected the new one better. Need to apply pressure on the edges as the middle collapses. As I said not bad for the price.

Not very happy as this planter broke when I tried to plant the second bulb. The metal used is very flimsy and not really fit for purpose. I am looking into getting my money back as I do not want a replacement.

It is very good value and helpful in the garden. Needs to be a little bit longer to save on backs.
