Absolutely blinding!,
This review is from: Yemen Cutta Connection (Audio CD)
BSL's cracking first album, arguably better than the Bengali Bantam Youth Experience! follow-up, is a must-have for any fan of digi-dub and Asian underground. The album has a mellower feel than BBYE! in general, and of course is littered with the band's marvellously weird samples throughout, including a classic ringside introduction to Prince Naseem Hamed. Buy this album, you will NOT regret it!

Splendid.,
This review is from: Yemen Cutta Connection (Audio CD)
This album is a gem. The Asian sounds used and the production techniques epitomise this 'style' of music. It is quite simply gorgeous. There is so much to the each track, it never fails to disappoint, with its' attention to detail, subtlety and, naturally, strong Asian flavour. 'Soft Sitar' is just beautiful. Great rhythms and evocative melodies make this an essential album.

Killa album!!!,

Arguably the best Asian (Indo/Pak) n techno combination album. Each and every track, well track 11 being the SOLE exception (which I could care less about), comes with its own unique soundscape. And, yes, the dub mixing is amazing. Especially if one happens to be familiar with the Asian (Indo/Pak) music, the remixes of the Eastern and the Western sound just AMAZING to the ears. Very well balanced placement of layers and extremely intricate phasing in and out of the layers.... Its just brilliant!!! These guys are indeed one of the few original Asian Dub Remix artists!!! (A toss-up between Talvin and BSL) I hope BSL's future releases are just as packing as this one....:)
