A friend quoted a line to me from one of Yeats' poems "When you are old" about the "pilgrim soul" which I really resonated with. This prompted me to order a book of Yeats' poetry and this seemed a good place to start. Many of the poems are very evocative and stir the emotions, whilst others are distinctly Irish in theme (Yeats being Irish) and may not be to everyone's taste. However, as a person who hasn't read much poetry, this was definitely a good place to start and I'm very glad I bought it. A particular favourite of mine is "The Stolen Child" - "for the world's more full of weeping than you can understand". A good buy.
