From the Author

Focuses on all aspects of the Problem including home offices
This book focuses on what is the Year 2000 Problem. How it happened, and addresses a 5 step approach for correcting the problem. This 5 step approach is the process that the US Air Force has chosen to adopt for attacking their Year 2000 Problem. The book also addresses related problems such as the Year 2000 Leap Year issue. The book addresses Software Management issues, Customer Management issues, Technical issues, and even addresses Small Business and Home Business issues. While most vendors and consultants are focusing on big businesses such as banks and investment companies, the small business owners are not even aware that this is a problem that will impact them. This book does not focus on any one type of application or platform but addresses the full spectrum. Most people that I have talked to that have read my book has had very positive comments about it. They feel it will be a big help in their endeavors. Thank you for considering my book, Bryce Ragland.

In teaching a university seminar on the technical and management aspects of the Year 2000 problem, I found the 1997 book THE YEAR 2000 PROBLEM SOLVER, by Bryce Ragland to be invaluable! Not only is the necessary information complete, the writing is so clear and the organization so lucid that the most distracted and harried student can easily follow and keep up. I am glad to hear that this book is being translated into languages other than English -- Y2K is a global problem, and Mr. Ragland's book will surely help to control it.
