5.0 out of 5 stars a challenging beautifully written book which explores 20th c, 28 Nov 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Yeah Yeah Yeah (Paperback)
I really enjoyed this book and found it a challenging read. For a poetry book it is pretty long, so it is definitely value for money. It is quite dark in parts dealing with issues of isolation, depression and fear of the unknown. I think that my favourite poem was Trespass which was about a couple who go for a walk in a wood and see a weird man. Roddy Lumsden is a very accomplished poet and the poem works for me on many different levels - as many of the poems in this book do. I'd recommend it to anyone. I also was luckily enough to see him read his work at the Poetry society cafe in London recently where he is poet in residence and I would highly recommend going to see him if you get the chance.
