The book arrived in as-new condition. I bought this book as part of my research into a particular model - the XS750 triple - and have found both the text and photographs very informative. The photograph I found particularly interesting is the very early example of the triple with a three-into-one exhaust system and wire wheels, which differs quite a bit from both the bike that Yamaha exhibited at the 44th Milan Motorcycle Show in November 1975 and the version that later went on sale in the UK.

4.0 out of 5 stars reference 26 Aug 2013

The book is very comprehensive, especially on the later models. I would have liked a picture of each model, one showing the unique aspects of that model as compared to its predecessor and the similar bikes built in later years. A color chart and serial number listing would also be of interest to the collector. As it is, the book is a welcome addition for any Yamaha enthusiast

I liked this book. Lots of pictures some black and white and some color. Some ads from back in the day. What the title of the book doesn't tell you is that there is a chapter for on off road bikes too. So there is more here than a book only about street bikes. If you are a Yamaha fan get this book while it is still reasonable in price. You will be glad you did.

Just a good read about Yamaha street bike history and evolution of the breed.
I like it because I'm a Yamaha nut!
