FC4 v FC5 9 Feb 2009
Having struggled with the little square FC5 footswitch, the FC4 is a definitely worth the extra. It is more stable and easier to "feel" when playing. It could benefit from one feature fitted to Roland footpedals, a swivel out rubber strip to put your heel on. On some surfaces, particularly carpet, it can slide away from you but not as much as the FC5.
School report: working better, but still room for improvement!

This is a good quality foot pedal and much better than cheap versions. It feels like a standard piano pedal and works fine. The only problem is that it creeps when used on carpet so it tends to scuttle away by degrees and suddenly you find it's out of reach. I am going to fix it to a piece of thin ply (with stick-on Velcro) to rest my foot on and prevent this happening. Apart from that I am very happy with it.

EXCELLENT PEDAL 4 Jan 2011
By Ted
I purchased this item for my new Yamaha Keyboard as I found that the small pedal that came with it had a tendency to move every time I touched it. Although I put some velcro on it I was still not happy as it did not feel quite right.

However, this pedal is brilliant. It really feels just like a real piano's pedal. It still has a tendency to move, but only slightly. It is really well built and styled.

I think this pedal is well worth the money
