The Yale wireless remote keypads are for use with all Yale home security alarms less than 4 years old as they operate on the 433.92 MHz frequency.
Add remote keypads to your Yale alarm system at any time. Remote keypads are ideal for putting just inside any entry point to your property, at the top of stairs or in bedrooms also they can be carried around giving added flexibility.
This Yale remote keypads can be used to fully arm or part set (home arming mode) and dis-arm Yale home security alarms.
The cover of the keypad closes to protect and hide the removable part of the keypad. By removing the keypad it can then be used as a handheld remote also includes panic buttons for attracting attention in an emergancy.

This is an excellent accessory for my yale security system. I am very pleased with the whole system as well and managed to install in one day with my partner. The only set back was not understanding the precise vocabulary of the instruction book (yes I actually did read it and watched the dvd!). All the accessories are added in one mode but the external alarm is added in its own mode, so linking in this last bit let the neighbours know that we were installing an alarm. It only went off twice before we worked out the solution. It works very well for me - I added key fobs as well which are definitely worth adding to the system. The system also allows for different codes and passwords which means that each person can use their own easy to remember reminder.
My DIY skills are quite limited and so I did find that the time spent watching the dvd was worthwhile as it saved on installation time. I would suggest checking out the sizes of the external alarms - I was concerned that the whole set appeared to be very small and not much of a deterrent, but in reality it is just as you would expect and looks very professional.
Separately, I also added a good quality solar powered PIR light in a north facing garden which continues to work well and illuminates the external alarm.

This is the third Yale wireless alarm system I have installed and have fitted this wireless keypad to each system. This allows the alarm to be armed/disarmed in Home mode from the first floor of the property, preventing the need for the occupier to walk downstairs to the main control panel. The alarm can be armed simply by pressing the Home alarm key, to disarm the alarm system you press the disarm key followed by the PIN code. The keypad can be removed from the cradle for convenience and has a panic facility for use even if the alarm is set or not. This keypad compliments a first class alarm system and would recommend it to any one thinking of purchasing it

I bought this to replace a broken keypad, What a natty little keypad this is, very easy to install and setup once i went to the Yale website and downloaded a user manual (and if you get stuck - phone the yale halp desk). not to small that you would loose it, very handy cradle to leave it upon entry to property. All in all im very impressed with this.
