This is by far the best source of easily digestible information covering the entire yachtmaster syllabus. Together with the Yachtmaster Exercise book, this is essential preparatory reading and exercises for those wishing to take the yachtmaster exam. I used these books as a refresher and they were able to blow away the cobwebs and prepare me fully for the vagaries of secondary ports and tidal streams etc. Highly recommended.

I have a number of Yachtmaster books and even a course on CD, but Alison Noice's book is by far the best source of information, clearly written, well illustrated and with a few exercises just to make you think.
If you need the knowledge to complete your RYA Yachtmaster or just a sailor who wants to learn more, this is the book to buy. My copy is always by the chart table, just in case.

This title maintains the quality of production and content expected from a book by the RYA. This book will give you complete confidence to tackle the practical exams.

Excellent Coastal / Yachtmaster theory book
Great all rounder but with excellent sections on weather, stability and nice pictures / summary notes on rules of the road too. If you're doing Coastal or Yachtmaster buy it!
