I've been playing this bass guitar for over a year now and it's really wonderful. The two active humbuckers produce a really nice and warm sound that you can't possibly get from your average precision bass under £300. The thing that drew me to buying this guitar was the pick-ups. I bought it from Mansons Guitar Shop in Exeter for £370 last year to play in a metal band covering Avenged Sevenfold for my A-level performance. The pickups look bulky, mean and quite frankly, awesome! However there are one or two minor faults with this guitar.

Firstly it can drain a lot of battery, faster than most active pickup basses and secondly, it is hard to get a brighter sound with mid to high frequencies unless you're using external EQ on a very good amp.

This is predominantly a metal bass that works very nicely with fuzz/distortion. This means it's a good bass for Muse style songs with deep fuzz and warmth.

P.S. What's really cool is that the pickups have a groove you can rest your thumb in when doing finger-style bass lines! This makes finger-style playing very comfortable!
