At last there is a decent sugar substitute which tastes great and which you can do all the things you would normally do with real sugar but which is fine for diabetics. By far the best but it is a bit pricey. The victoria sponge I made was delicious and using diabetic jam is indistiguishable from the traditional recipe.

I decided to try this (instead of my usual Total Sweet choice) & very impressed. Fast delivery, good product, nice packaging. As a heavy user of xylitol (have completely substituted sugar with it) the 1kg packs are most suitable for me. Do XyloBrit offer this? Is any supplier considering larger packages (3-5kg)?

Xylitol is for me without question the best sweetener around. I hope as consumers become more aware of it & demand grows there will be more competition among suppliers (it is still too expensive IMHO). Good product in any case.

A natural product which I use for baking, which is the only time I would use any sugar at all anyway. You don't need as much of it as it's sweeter than white sugar; but it behaves the same way in baking & is good for cakes. I use about 2/3rds as much as the recipe calls for & cakes & cookies turn out brilliantly

This is great, its antibacterial, doesn't raise the glycaemic index , the texture and taste is just like sugar but has fewer calories. Its not toxic like some other sweeteners.
The downsides are its a bit pricey, also it can give some people the runs. My son got the runs after having 5 spoonfulls in a coffee (serves him right)

DW Jones is right there is no weird aftertaste and TH Gough is also right it tastes great. 'It's the sweetest thing'. It looks like sugar too. I heard it is a naturally occuring sugar and you can find it in fruit in small amounts.

TH Gough is right you can use it in baking and substitute it in almost every way except in bread making - yeast can't metabolise xylitol so you have to use sugar or honey instead.

Xylobrit is too good to be true. At £9.55 for three 250g packs it is more expensive than sugar but it doesn't rot your teeth. So your xylobrit is more expensive but your smile is cheaper!

Have used this product many times before and will do again. Bit expensive compared to normal sugar, but I like the 'format', the fact that is has less calories and there is no weird aftertaste.

Any diabetic will know how difficult it is to use the powdered 'sugar'. This sweetener works just like sugar, I wish I'd found it years ago!
