I've got two of these. One is used by my daughter to plug her headphones into a guitar amp, the other is used by my wife to plug her headphones into an electric piano. The connection between the adapter and the headphone plug is nice and solid, as is the connection into the phone sockets on the amp and piano (and my old hifi system when I borrow one of these to use my headphones). There is absolutely no hiss generated and the sound quality is excellent.
I can recommend these these to anyone who wants to take a standard set of modern headphones with the small 3.5mm plug and use them in the old 1/4 inch sockets.

I was looking a connection for my guitar amplifier so I could use my earphones (to stop annoying the neighbours) and it was surprisingly difficult to find a decent adapter for it.
This was my third adapter and was the most expensive of the three but you get what you pay for. There was no crackle or hiss, it's a tight fit so it won't be accidentally pulled out of the amp or the earphones pulled out of the adapter. The other two had a mixture of these problems, one kept getting pulled out by my earphones every time I moved a little and the other had a dreadful hissing noise.
Summery: This one is a few quid more than the other ones on Amazon but you won't have any problems with it. Buying this adapter allows you to plug it in and forget it's even there... job done.

Warning . The first time i plugged my headphones in the jack would not fit. Dam and blast. I tried another jack . No did not fit. Somewhat annoyed I gave it a push. Click it fited. Read more

Great piece of kit!
Good quality product. I really didn't hold out much hope for this considering the price, but the build quality feels great and not at all flimsy. I would definately recommend.

Does the job
It works, but quality isn't as good as I would have expected for the price. The 3.5mm jack doesn't slide in and out smoothly - needs a bit of wiggling.
