Got the switcher to use with an Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Sky HD box. All worked fine until I added the new Toshiba HD-DVD EP 30 player. This doesn't work with the switch at all. Contacted the manufacturer who indicated that they were aware of the problem and will be updating the switch in the near future and I should buy the new version, not terribly helpful. Still works with 3 out of 4 devices.

To look at this is probably the most pleasing switcher to the eye - and one of the most cost effective too! Does the job well, and the perfect choice if you have or are thinking about Apple TV. However, I must say that there does appear to be a slight degredation in picture which seems to defeat the object of going Hi-Def or spending loads of money on top notch HDMI cables. It might just be me since no else seems to notice the difference - my advice is if you're bothered about perfect pictures then try and see if you can notice a difference for yourself before buying.

I got one of these at the same time as my Apple TV - and I will grant you that it is pleasingly the same size and shape as an Apple TV (and it has a standby button - something to look out for on other switches) - but because it has no HDCP pass-through (something I only found out about after contacting technical support) it is really quite likely that it will jib out if you are trying to play upscaled DVDs from your DVD player. It didn't work with my Cambridge Audio DVD player, and I have read about it not working with Toshiba DVD players and Samsung TV's.
However, if you don't plan to use it with anything that might use HDCP (High - Bandwidth Digital Content Protection) - then I am sure it will be brilliant - especially if you have an Apple TV. However, as someone who is now the unhappy owner of two HDMI switches, one of which is currently an Apple TV sized paper-weight, then this device is probably worth avoiding...

Works spendidly
I have an Xbox 360, a PS3 and an Oppo DVD player connected to this and it has always worked beautifully. Had it for about a year now and cannot fault it.

Not compatible with Samsung TV and Apple TV
