I got one of these at the same time as my Apple TV - and I will grant you that it is pleasingly the same size and shape as an Apple TV (and it has a standby button - something to look out for on other switches) - but because it has no HDCP pass-through (something I only found out about after contacting technical support) it is really quite likely that it will jib out if you are trying to play upscaled DVDs from your DVD player. It didn't work with my Cambridge Audio DVD player, and I have read about it not working with Toshiba DVD players and Samsung TV's.
However, if you don't plan to use it with anything that might use HDCP (High - Bandwidth Digital Content Protection) - then I am sure it will be brilliant - especially if you have an Apple TV. However, as someone who is now the unhappy owner of two HDMI switches, one of which is currently an Apple TV sized paper-weight, then this device is probably worth avoiding...
