I ordered a DODOcase for my iPad 2 because I love how it looks like a Moleskine notebook. This is the case that I plan on using when I'm out and about, in meetings, school, work, etc. However I also wanted a sleeve that I could put my iPad in when I travel. I looked around a lot and had started to gravitate towards the Incase product line (e.g., slip sleeve, neoprene sleeve plus). Then I found the Xtrememac Pocket Sleeve and really liked the look of it. I had never heard of Xtrememac before but they appear to be a subsidiary of Memorex.
I received the Extrememac Pocket sleeve today and I couldn't be happier with it. Although designed for the original iPad, the iPad 2 fits very nicely into it. There a several things that I really like about the sleeve. 1) it has a cool hexagonal pattern on the front that sets it apart from other neoprene sleeves, 2) it feels like it provides the right amount of protection for traveling in a messenger bag/back pack without having a ton of bulk, 3) it's black and orange so it goes good with either iPad choice (black or white), and 4) it has a pocket for the iPad, and an additional pocket for the sync cable and/or headphones.
The only downside is the cost. I paid $38.99 through Amazon. However, this is very comparable to the price point for Incase, Hard Candy, and other competitor sleeves.
I would recommend this sleeve to anyone looking for a sleek case that isn't bulky but will still protect your iPad from scratches and dings.
