A good friend of mine has owned a B&W Zeppelin Air for some time, and I was very impressed with this, superb sound and excellent build quality. I have to say it was this which tempted me into purchasing a high end speaker dock, however the Zeppelin was a little above my price range.

Having viewed and tested several speakers instore, and read many online review. Other brands that I considered included the Bose, Sono, B&W, B&O, Logitech...however, I opted for the JBL ONBEAT XTREME. This was a bit of a gamble, as I had not seen or tested this model...however i have owned JBL products before. My purchase was based on this and the other excellent reviews it has received.

WOW...all I can say is, if you want the BEST....look no further, this really is a fantastic piece of kit. On the first listen, I felt a little apprehensive...I hit play, and just grinned...The sound is exceptional, the high end sounds are vibrant and crisp and the bass is very deep and no sign of distorting, even on the highest of volumes! The build quality meets the sound, faultless and the unit itself is very compact and smaller than the Zeppelin Air. It is definitely in the same league as the Zeppelin, and might just pip it.

Set up and operation is very simple, and the FREE iPad App is great...easy to use, and drops in your existing iTunes playlist. The Bluetooth connection has been great so far, and no sign of dropping out.

I would strongly recommend this...I am very fussy, and I dont have a bad word to say about this. Enjoy it...I dont think you'll find anything better for this price range

I did quite a bit of research before I committed to buying the JBL, but after reading several reviews I decided to go for it over and above a B&W or B&O or Logitech..... all around the £300 to £600 mark. I paid £400 for mine delivered

Rather than just say I have been happy with my purchase, I have to say it exceeded my expectations. The sound quality is deep and satisfying both at low and high volumes and really fills a large room very well. The unit is also satisfyingly weighty too!

When I use the docking system for my ipad2 it actually looks like a piece of modern art. It also works very well connected remotely through bluetooth and has a very handy remote control

I actually use it primarily with Spotify, streaming endless music through the radio (so all types of music) and have been very, very impressed with the overall quality and performance of the JBL

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this....

I wanted something that would play music from my ipad wirelessly. I did a lot of research and finallly settled on this product. I did consider speakers using wifi but was a little worried by suggestions that others had had signal problems. In the end the reviews suggesting the sound was 'as good' as the high end (and more expensive) airplay products (bose, zeppelin etc) and the fact this used blue tooth instead sold it for me. I am not disapointed! The sound is rich and full and sounds as good as any audio equipment I have listened to when players are docked. Its almost as good via blue tooth and then the differences are only detectable when you play music at a really really high volume. The unit is solid and well built. It can also be used as a speaker for a pc or other non-apple audio equipment via a wired connection. All in all very handy and nice sounding bit of kit!
