I have been taking the original BSN NOXplode formula for a couple of years now and have always loved it. I am always a sucker for trying new and updated products, especially when it comes to supplements. For the past 10+ years I have been a avid weight trainer. Typically, my week consists of 4-5 weight training sessions, plus 4-5 30-60 minute cardio sessions. I am a fan of compound exercises like the dead lift, squat, bench press, and similar exercises. Like most, I work a 40 hour work week and am typically drained after work. BSN NOXplode always wakes me up and gets me going for my workouts- two scoops is my typical dose for the original formula but I only take 1 scoop of the more advanced formula so my money tends to go twice as far The new formula doesn't overstimulate me and I prefer the taste slightly more to the original, but in all honesty I really don't like the taste of either as they both taste really sweet, but I have tasted far worse. There are not too many brands of supplements that I buy anymore due to the fact that most supplements over promise and under deliver. Others just have really bad quality ingredients and I really question what I am putting into my body. I have been a fan of BSN for years and continue to be as they have high quality ingredients and always deliver as promised. If you want a really great pre-workout supplements, give this one a try, I think you will love it.
For anyone new to pre-workout supplements, be aware, most contain a lot of caffeine and taking in too much caffeine can cause bowel issues, and it can also keep you up at night...Start off slowly, since we all react differently. I suggest trying 1/2 scoop and then going up from there. I am 200+ pounds and 1-2 scoops is enough for me. I have a few friends who felt sick on one scoop. I also have NEVER heard of serious health side effects like kidney failure, but I am sure you can ask your doctor about the safety of this supplement as well as any other. But doctors are not nutritionists, so my best advice is to do your own research and ask others who you know have taken supplements before. My supplements regimen is one pack of the Animal Pak multi-vitamins, bsn protein powder, and the BSN NO Xplode advanced strength formula. I have tried many supplements and have found these work the best for me.
